Job Purpose: Complete commercial or residential building projects.

Job Duties:
* Handles tools of various types including heavy machinery
* Performs physical labor activities
* Adheres to all safety guidelines while on the job site
* Cleans, repairs, and performs routine maintenance on machinery
* Removes debris and trash
* Controls traffic in and around a construction zone
* Assembles and disassembles temporary structures such as barricades, braces, and scaffolding
* Reads plans and blueprints to make sure the diagrams meet specifications
* Applies a specific trade
* Demolishes any old structures before construction
* Preps any tools for the workday
* Makes sure the job zone is secure from outsiders
* Removes and transports hazardous materials
* Roofing
* Wires electrical components
* Performs masonry and tuck-pointing
* Loads and unloads materials at the job site
* Uses tools to cut materials to desired lengths
* Uses machinery to level land to the required grade
* Paints exterior and interior of buildings
* Creates compounds, such as concrete, by mixing the proper proportions of water and material
* Sets up heating or cooling stations for workers depending on the weather
* Sprays finishing agents on drywall, concrete, or another medium
* Aligns and joins components such as walls or pipes
* Signals other workers to halt or continue work
* Digs or backfills
* Caulks joints or around structures such as doors and more.
